Explore SBL's story
SBL successfully executed a Structural Building Information Modeling (BIM) project for a prestigious historic horse racing venue in the United States. The goal was to create an accurate 3D BIM model from point cloud data to aid in the venue’s renovation. Using Autodesk Revit, the team transformed complex data into a Level of Detail (LoD) 300 model, ensuring precision and intricacy. Key challenges included preserving the venue’s historical and aesthetic essence while integrating modern refurbishment techniques. Collaboration among historians, architects, and engineers was essential to meet both structural and conservation objectives. The project provided a detailed 3D blueprint, facilitating better decision-making and planning, safeguarding the venue’s historical character, and enhancing maintenance and preservation strategies for future sustainability.
